Train pre-service and in-service teachers on a multisensory phonetic reading approach.

Provide for access to dyslexia specific assistive technologies for all at-risk students in both general and special education programs.

Establish a universal definition and understanding of the term “dyslexia” within our state education code consistent with the IDA definition.

Mandate the use of appropriate evidence based reading interventions for at-risk students in both general and special education programs.

Assure early screening and identification of at-risk students.
Establish a state literacy task force that includes highly trained individuals in multi-sensory phonetic based language instruction.
